Oh wow what a horrible experience to wake up to, menu so slow and laggy, the Home button on remote toggles to new Home Screen then press again and get something resembling the old Home Screen, in terms of broken NONE of the settings options open, so the Network, Accessiblity, etc., so if I need connect another WiFi now I'd be royally stuck

Whilst also not having the mini menu on channel and being able to see the next programmes or other channels whilst still watching the same channel is a MASSIVE DOWNGRADE.  Seriously who makes these design decisions at Sky as they are terrible every, single, time, like when they removed reminders on Q as "can record 8 channels at once" whilst the sports department advertise "only live once"... like the left hand doesn't even know the right hand exists at this point 

and the tv guide looks so cheap and tacky and fully just ripped out of whatever freeview build sky could find it'd seem, honestly I can't believe this is the kind of thing we pay for.... 

any ways of getting back to OS1 until the design decisions are made more positive?!?

@Stacey5426abc @It's about opinion. I love the new OS, it's a bit laggy on one of my older boxes but I love the the UI, recording function, separate sports area. I thinks it great, vast improvement

OS 2.0 on Sky Glass 2

Favourites are available to select and order via settings : Viewing preferences, and the list of favourites can be ordered/reordered.

Refresh is switched off in Viewing preferences to prevent the favourites list being altered.

Issue:

I cannot see any way to select the favourites list when viewing? The TV Guide option from the home screen only shows the All channels view and I cannot find a way to have it show favourites only? And when using the remote selecting a Favourites channel number i.e. pressing 6, the screen shows the number 6 in the right hand lower corner then a "Channel Unavailable" message.

I have reset the favourite channels and reset the TV but neither option makes any difference. Is Favourites now a discontinued feature in OS 2.0 - if so it seems a bit of a backward step?

Has anybody figured out how to display Favourites in the TV channel list and reactivate channel selection in the remote.

Ah sorry should have said - on Sky Puck so zero ability to record; yet the OS seems not able to figure this out so has a Record option, which will of course do absolutely nothing

For the Sky 2.0 trial, the following features are not available, but will be added at a later point through the trial.

• UHD button on Sports Channels.
• Favourite Channels in the TV Guide.
• Browsing Channels while watching content.
• Customising Subtitles.

Part 2:

On the Home screen you can see your Favourites by scrolling down to the What's on now and next section...BUT

Whilst you can set up to 48 favourites you cannot scroll along the What's on now and next section to see all the favourites you have set. You get to the 20th favourite channel set and cannot go any further.

Would like to add my thoughts.

I found it a little laggy once it first installed on both my V1 pucks.

I then did a settings restart and it's been good since then on both.

Im struggling to be fair around the new My Library and Watchlists ideal, but perhaps overtime will get my head around it and as it improves with some feedback noted in here.

Do like the recording and scheduled area showing a lot better what will be cloud recorded and what will be On demand etc.

Plus good to get in and manipulate all the options for recording.

Think though it may need a few UI tweaks.

It did a good job without any problems of adding the pre and post recording of six films and five programmes I cloud recorded overnight on Legend, Great Christmas, Movies 24, Legend, QVC channels, 5  (not in on on demand content) and on other 5 channels.

I added a few minutes pre and 30 minutes post

Takes me back to the old Sky+ adding to an end of recording, not sure I really need it in the more streaming world, but may be useful for some.

Initial thoughts on OS 2.0

On Glass with the new OS - still no option to delete programmes from the Continue Watching rail. This has been a bug bear for customers since Glass/Stream was introduced and it's still not been addressed.

This was the perfect chance to do it.

That's the negative.

I do like that at last the Home screen has the Search and Settings options at the top of the screen. That's long overdue. Definitely more user friendly for those who don't use voice search and didn't know about the ... button shortcut.

Thank you for your input and engagement with the new SkyOS trial so far.  We’ve been working on improvements based on feedback and usage of the trial, including the tech fault error sometimes seen when trying to watch live TV on your device.

Can you also fix the useless fast forwarding too please, on x10 and x30 it fast forwards for a couple of seconds and then stops fast forwarding for 2 seconds, and continues doing this until you get to the continuation of the programme you're watching, so it takes too long to get through the adverts because of this
