I'm much more often getting sync issues, particularly on sky sports channels, channel 401 being the worst culprit. It's so bad that it's making me want to cancel sky completely -
I honestly think that sky Q was far superior to this! Even now at 20:00 on sky sports 1 this happened. sheesh.

I was round at a friends last week who was having issues with lip sync. I said I'd have a look for them. They had a simple setup with a soundbar and everything was in sync if you watched something on Netflix and Prime.
As soon as you watched anything on stream there were lip sync issues, sky sports being particularly bad.
I signed into my Now TV app for them to watch sky sports and everything was in sync.
Had a call from them today and they told me they'd been onto Sky and have been allowed to cancel 4 months into their contract. They signed up today with Now TV and have no lip sync issues!

I am out of contract with sky, so I have no ties to them, but you're right, it seems specific to sky - never seen this with netflix / disney or any other streaming service. They really need to fix this!

I only got my sky puck yesterday and all it is doing is playing out of sync with Wots being said. Starting to regret my change over to sky.

It's no different with sky broadband

This doesn't work for my elderly parents TV.it makes watching for people who use lip-reading impossible. I think that compensation is due.

It's getting worse. The only solution that works for live tv is to switch up a channel and switch back down.
but it is so annoying and so terrible quality.

Twice this evening during Silent Witness, lip sync totally failed !
I will happily join and contribute to the cost of a class action -
Sky will only respond to poor press that may cost them revenue and the court -
nothing else will remotely concern them!

It also happened to me during silent witness tonight also. Had to switch up and down channels to fix it!

After a restart, it seems OK for a while ...... but the issue soon rears it's head across a lot of channels after using a fair bit.
There are no issues generally with "apps". However I've also observed:
1. Discovery+ app ....... when watching live rugby, and I've paused or rewound, and then FF to "Live", a few times it is not actually live at all and seems to get stuck. I often find myself watching/listening to the half time analysis as if its on repeat!
2. After using apps, or moving around menus a lot, the sync issue is immediately apparent.
Could this indicate that the volatile memory/caching buffer is not clearing properly, and as a result, the hardware cannot cope with many operations in quick succession. At least I hope it is something like this, and not simply a lack of hardware resources in the name of "economies".

I'm watching the snooker on BBC4 this evening too on my Stream Puck and audio sync is perfect for me. I know that doesn't help anyone else but shows different experiences.
