Linking existing Netflix account
So iv just setup my sky stream puck and followed the instructions to link my existing Netflix account (currently premium) thinking that I would now get a discount on this and the billing would revert to Sky as the payment method.
Well iv logged in successfully but iv had no prompt to change billing method via sky stream and my Netflix main account on my phone still shows premium plan being paid for by my credit card.
where am I going wrong?

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
If you're a Sky Glass or Sky Stream customer, Netflix is included with your Sky Ultimate TV subscription so will be part of your Sky bill.
If you have Sky Stream pucks these will count towards your device limits if you log into the Netflix app. For example, Sky Glass and a Sky Stream puck will count as 2 devices.
- Select any Netflix show or go the Apps menu and select Netflix.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you have an existing Netflix account you pay Netflix direct for:
- Sky Glass customers only: When you log into Netflix on Sky Glass for the first time, make sure it's on your Sky Glass TV (not a Sky Stream puck)
- Make sure the details you enter and/or confirm when logging into Netflix on Sky Glass or Sky Stream for the first time match your existing Netflix account details. This will alert Netflix to stop billing you separately and link your existing account to your Streaming TV bill.

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
Yes that hasn't happened. Literally followed the steps above and Netflix is still showing a premium subscription that's coming off my credit card. Iv had no prompt anywhere to revert the billing to sky. Perhaps clicking the upgrade Netflix subscription to premium is the only thing I can think of. Or just setup a whole new Netflix account.

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
@Ads1981 - you haven't logged into a different Netflix account at any point on your Sky device have you? The reason i ask is that the first account you login as, will be the Netflix account that gets linked to your Sky account. The behaviour you are getting does seem like what you would get if your Sky account was already linked to a different Netflix account

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
The only thing I can think of is a couple of years ago I signed into my parents Sky Q box whilst I was cat sitting. But I know they Havnt used it since as it's not even showing up as a used device in my Netflix thing. That's the only thing I can think of. Sky won't even give me the option of setting up a new Netflix account now as that would seem like the easiest fix.

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
It transpires that my Netflix account is linked with another Sky account (presumably parents) apparently nothing anyone can do.
so off I went and set up a new account new email etc along with new Netflix subscription, guess what... still doesn't link

If you've linked the wrong Netflix account to your Sky account, you'll need to contact Netflix directly to update it.
Sky cannot do this and will refer you to Netflix.
The Netflix help team we have seen on here has been very good at sorting out such account issues.

Re: Linking existing Netflix account
The problem is the other way around. The Netflix account has been inadvertently linked with the wrong Sky account some years ago.
Spoken to multiple Netflix advisers now who can do nothing to help apparently.
how do I speak to anyone from Sky? All I see and get referred to is the self help FAQ's in a viscious cycle which are of no help at all.

Sky won't be able to do anything as the linking is done on the Netflix account end ( this is because its the Netflix billing system that gets updated as the Netflix account gets changed to say, this is now being billed via Sky).
