@Ryan86kg why not have a fire stick with the now app at your bar?
12 Jul 2024 06:06 PM
That's what I have as backup. Not with the NOW app so might look at it, but do have firestick and the usual apps installed for streaming so guess that's my work around. Just annoying when you have hardwired skyQ and suddenly the signal goes down.
think for the football this Sunday I'll just stream off the firestick using ITV player.

Be careful, sky steam is not an upgrade from sky Q,it's just another option and it doesn't need a dish, I still believe sky Q offers more

At least you got there, I'd prefer all home nations to make it regardless of the rivalry. It's good banter but when it comes down to it, love my fellow Union Jack pals. Enjoy the beers!

I think you mean Union Flag as the Jack is used only by the navy on warships 🙂

Its likely the SKY hidden mesh between main box and minis that is struggling. I'm not sure what info is carried by Sky mesh vs home broadband to be fair though. MY older minis have the ethernet port blocked.

All Q television hardware of whatever vintage has functional ethernet but older units shipped with a removable rubber bung in the RJ45 socket, printed with a rather strict (but frankly bogus) warning notice.

Interesting bit of history....
The Admiralty used both names interchangeably from the seventeenth century onwards, irrespective of use. An Admiralty Circular of 1902 pronounced that either name was officially valid. And in 1908 Parliament approved this verdict, confirming that 'The Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag'.

I've been looking at going to Sky Stream as well, but I watch MotoGP on TNT Sports and record the early morning qualifying and races. I don't see how that can work on a streaming service?

Or World Superbikes on Eurosport?

It may or may not work, but unfortunately that's outside the control of the user.
As discussed elsewhere, the big advantage of Q is that anything arriving through a satellite tuner can end up on the local hardware drive.

After today definitely not worth it . Sky Stream is having F1 Issues with skipping during the broadcast. I've had enough .
Reverting back to Sky Q in the morning as I'm still in cooling off period .
I understand ip is the future but for the time being I'm well chuffed to be going back to HDD on Sky Q

Well I am with Sky 15 years never had any problems with Sky but had a couple of issues down the road with Sky q and then decided to change to Sky streaming. If I am being honest I thought it was a great idea and invention but the only problem is, there's too many teething problems with it. So I am reverting back to Sky q. It has broken down a lot when you're in the middle of watching something keep saying technical error, lip syncing is an issue and a lot of lag. If it was as good as sky Q, I would probably keep it, but there's just too many issues with it, so we found maybe we are just the unlucky ones. And my wife wasn't too keen on the menu she's more used to the sky q and of course she likes to record which you can't do on this one. So for me it's sky q all the way.
