When I turn on my sky puck only the green flashing light comes on nothing else

@Pete08 A Stream puck does not have a green flashing light, can you confirm it's a puck and is pluuged into your tV using a HDMI cable?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

As above, not sure what you mean by a green light, as there is not one on the Sky Stream puck in that kind of operation.

It will be a white light when on or stuck in a standby mode state.

It will flash through colours on the forced restart recovery procedure.

If your Sky Stream puck is not powering on correctly, read this Sky help article, namely doing the recovery procedure on step 4;
