FBI series 8 episode 5 picture missing

The latest episode of FBI is now available to watch via my playlist BUT after you get past the first section of adverts there is only sound, no picture!!

 

We had this a few months ago with S.W.A.T's last ever episode & it took Sky weeks to rectify, please tell me this isn't going to be the case with this?

 

Am I the only one having this issue?

It does seem it's only the HD version.
The HD version will show ads (whereas the UHD version does not) but the ads can be skipped with the ad skipping pack.

 

I played the UHD aversion of episode 8 yesterday evening and had no playing issues on my pucks.

Still fine today.

 

but, just tried the HD version and seeing the same black screen with sound after the first in programme set of ads.

 

Would suggest to get this actioned  and resolved by Sky is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;

@Tippster if a simple reboot of your puck doesn't fix it, the best thing to do is to report it to Sky by emailing viewerR@sky.uk who will be able to investigate the playback problem.

With the issue still ongoing, even after doing a hard reboot to both of my pucks, I have now emailed viewerR@sky.uk to inform them of the issue.

 

I have gone through the entire episode, the commercials play fine throughout but the picture stops after the first commercial break & never returns.

Same for me. Sky Glass here. I fast forwarded a bit and the next add break has pictures then it goes back to a black screen with just sound.

Just tried to watch the episode and have the same problem.

Reset the puck but no change so have emailed sky.

Same here, exactly the same as what happened with SWAT. Hope they don't take so long to fix it this time!!!

Hi @Tippster This is obviously a broadcast issue and not a problem at your end.  I have the same problem and there are others posting the same in this thread.

 

The more people who report the problem to Viewer Relations at viewerR@sky.uk the better and sooner they will fix the problem (I have just sent them an email)..

This is really annoying. I remember this happening with a SWAT episode. It would be nice if SKY gave an explanation as to why this happens and actually fix it. As a new customer, I'm deffo not impressed.

This is the same issue we had with SWAT. This is a joke , Sky is not worth the money

I hadn't long rejoined Sky when the issue with SWAT occurred & that was the last ever episode, so everyone was waiting around for quite a while to see how it would all finish!

 

The only response I've had to my email to Sky was an automated response, so no details in that & it's already what I've come to expect from them!!

Mine is the same on Sky Stream. Rebooted and it didn't work so thought I would check in here after the SWAT final episode fiasco

Hi, 

wondering if anyone else is having the same issue (myself and my neighbour are). Streaming Season 8 Episide 5 of FBI on Sky stream and once it gets about 15 mins in the screen is going blank - sound still running in the background and menu, pause etc all still working. Seems like there's an actual technical error with the programme?

Hi @WillS1999 and welcome to the forum.  There have been a number of people reporting this issue, including me.  As advised by @MarkGoldsmith you should report this to viewerR@sky.uk as the more people that do the quicker it will probably get resolved.

Also having the same issue. Really annoying wading through ads and then it doesn't work after 13 minutes!

Only just got our puck today. Turned off and unplugged everything. Reset it. Tried other episodes of same series and they were fine. Other apps and shows work correctly just this particular one season 8 episode 5! 
Thinking if they don't sort it within a reasonable amount of time, I will cancel and change providers!

Get a move on Sky!
