Contracts don't 'end': it's a discounted minimum subscription term which expires.

What happens when you contract ends? Does it auto renew at same cost?
Prices will revert to full list price unless you call and renegotiate a new long term contract. Sky are under no obligation to offer you a discount though.
With Sky Stream it's not uncommon for those who cancel and leave to be offered deals to return. For example, 3 months after my brother left Sky, he was offered 12 months at half price on a 31 day rolling contract.

Re: End of contract
Here and others places I read of being able to cancel without penalty when out of contract. Is that wrong?

@Bill051 When you are out of contract it switches to a monthly rolling contract at full list price which you can give notice to cancel penalty free (31 days tv/14 days broadband) or renew for a discounted price on a new minimum term contract
your contract wont end until you physically give notice

Hi @Bill051 As already posted by others your contract doesn't actually end. What happens is your discounts expire and you remain on your existing contract but on a monthly basis instead of 24 months.
You then have the option of remaining on this contract which will allows you to leave free of charge at any time subject to giving one months notice or you can call Sky and negotiate new discounts and sign up to a new 24 month contract.

It's still a contract, otherwise Sky doesn't have to provide content, you don't need to pay and there'd be no notice period.

Re: End of contract
You are right of course but Sky's website refers to "24 month contracts".

Correct, thats the minimum term, then the T&Cs state after the minimum term it becomes a 31 day rolling contract.

Re: End of contract
Now we know what a contract is, I am not sure the reply marked as "Answered" is much good.
Log into MySky.
Select Broadband from the menu bar.
Select Renewal Options.

Re: End of contract
But not very helpful for the OP who asked "What happens when you contract ends? Does it auto renew at same cost? "
What would the answer be if they had asked
"What happens when the minimum term of your contract ends? Does it auto renew at same cost? " ? Which is what everybody knew is what they meant.

Re: End of contract
My contact ended, bill went up £15 automatically. Rang to negotiate a new contract and they said they could give me a saving of £5!!! I am now looking elsewhere. Have been with Sky 10 years but doesn't seem to matter
