Having just switched from Sky Q to Sky stream, we were asked to return our old Sky Q mini boxes and this has been done but I'm not sure if Sky will contact me to arrange for an engineer to remove the satellite dish? Does anybody know what should happen next? Do we have to contact Sky or will they contact us?

No the dish is yours, it will be up to you to remove, Sky won't

I was under the impression that all sky hardware belonged to Sky.
Nope.
Digiboxes, Sky+ and Sky+ HD boxes are owned by the user.
Sky Q boxes are loaned by Sky.
Satellite dish and cabling are owned by the householder upon installation (with a 12 month warranty)
Sky Glass television sets are owned by the user.
Sky Stream pucks are loaned by Sky if acquired after February 2023: before then they are owned by the user.
