Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I'm still unsure what to do now.

Annual £89.90 sub that was due to renew in Oct. Made a mess of it yesterday, so now don't know where I stand.

If I look on the tv it says I have current - disney standard with ads - £0 a month (which is what I actually wanted)

If I check sky webpage it says I need to complete activation

So now I've just cancelled through the disney page as I couldn't see how to downgrade or get my refund

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Hi

I've upgraded to the reduced price of £9.00 pm to get Premium, billed by Sky.

I'm just curious to know, will Sky also increase the price, every time Disney Plus increase the price?

Thanks in Advance

Barry 🙂

Hi, its not working for me on the sky puck. Getting error code 1026 when going into the app. I have gone to settings refreshed apps and reset device and having same issues. Not a good start!

Any recommendations please?

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Hi, looking for some advice before I activate my Disney+ premium account through my Sky account.

My monthly billing date for Disney+ is 12th so I paid for the Courtney month last Thursday. I see other customers who activate their Disney+ subscription through their Sky account are being asked to pay £9 upfront to retain the current Premium subscription for the coming month.

I also understand from what I've read about switching to Sky billing that, as a monthly rather than annual Disney+ Premium subscriber,  my plan will be paused and no refund for the overlapping period will be due.

Am I correct in this understanding?

Lastly, when would be the best date to activate my Disney+ premium account through Sky rather than keeping it with Disney+?

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Ok, so it's a separate payment, billed by Sky, but not part of your existing Stream package by the looks of it. Your Sky can be billed by direct debit but this has to via Visa.

@ThisRegard  I was a bit confused by this yesterday, but went ahead on Sky Marketplace & gave my card details, & the transaction to pay £9 per month for the Premium tier went through okay. Something to remember that I have seen mentioned on another thread, when you get a new debit/credit card, you will need to add the card details to Sky Marketplace to continue your monthly payments. I'm sure I saw a blue button on the Sky Marketplace page to be clicked to add new card details.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

So I've paid for ad free (89.90 in oct) but being as I made a mess of it cos the instructions (or lack of) were dire, I have now ended up with disney WITH ads if I try to watch on sky yet no refund or any mention of one. It just says it will run out in Oct, so what do I need to do?2026-03-18_112121.jpg

Yes, on a monthly plan there is no refund, that only applies to annual plans.

If you transfer to Sky, your current tier  will carry over and you will need to add a card payment method for that month or any future months that you are on a higher tier than the standard with ads tier.

If you wish after the activation, you can go to your  MySky app or MySky on your Sky Stream puck, to odo a  tier downgrade to a lower tier or to the Sky free offering of a standard with ads tier.

You will not be have the downgrade option available straight away, until your next Sky billing date change, around a months time.

If you wish, let your current Disney + payment cancel and expire for the month and the day after you will be able to transfer to free Sky Disney + Standard with ads tier and not have to add any form of payment in the process.

A movie that was watched on Disney+ is stuck in my continue watching rail as only part watched even though it was watched to the end. I have tried going into the app to clear it by fast forwarding to the end but it is still there. I don't want to go down the route of turning the feature off in the MySky app for it to clear everything. Any ideas why this is happening? It isn't happening to anything else I am watching on Disney+.

@Nesslad  If you can, log in to your D+ account online. There you should see your Continue Watching list. In the top right-hand corner of your film, hover over it & you should see a minus sign. Click on that & it will ask you if you want to remove it. Follow the instruction.

Think I've made a right mess of mine.

I paid disney standard £89.90 in October - rarely used it so don't know if that was with or without ads.

I just wanted the free version now, so was expecting to just activate it and then be refunded the difference, but it was asking for card details and said it would be £4 a month, so I didn't click confirm.

Now when i check in "mysky" on the tv is says I have the standard with ads £0 but I haven't received anything with regards to a refund and when I look at my sky account online it says

@jdh73  As per the FAQ section, a refund from Disney can take up to 14 days.

If you were on an annual plan.

Sky have made us aware that you will  get your refund within 7 to 14 days.

We have flagged some of the email communication that customers received so far, that were poorly worded.

As mentioned it has been  flagged and noted by Sky. We have been told by Sky that you will get your refund if on an annual plan within the 7-14 day timeframe.
