Re: Extra charges to be ad free on Disney+
@Cleveleysbob wrote:I've got Sky stream ultimate package and pay for Netflix premium and £6/mo to be ad free.
My current subscription with Disney+ standard finishes on 24th March.
To include this on Sky, they're asking for an extra £4/mo.
I am not prepared to pay twice to be ad free. As such I haven't completed my subscription add on.
The system currently only picks up my existing "standard" subscription and won't offer me the basic with ads option. I'd rather have the ads than pay another £4 on top of the £6 I already pay.
I have issues with some channels not being exactly ad free as it is. Anyone else coming across this and what can Sky do to sort it out?
The Sky Disney+ activation brings your subscription tier across as is. If you want Basic With Ads free with Sky, log onto the Disney+ webpage and downgrade from Standard to Basic With Ads.
Once done, go through the Sky activation process which will start you off with Basic With Ads. You can always go up a tier next month with the £4 'pay the difference' for Standard.
eg We were on the Premium tier, billed directly by Disney+. We activated with Sky earlier today, put straight onto the Premium tier billed by Sky and immediately charged the £9 difference between Basic With Ads and Premium.

Disney annual subsription refund
Sky state that if you have an annual subscription with Disney plus then once you transfer to sky to manage your account then the remaining unused portion of subscription will be refunded to you in two weeks. I paid annual subscription last October £89 + . This morning I changed to Sky to manage account and was asked to pay £4 by debit card to be billed monthly..Disney however do not seem prepared to refund the unused portion of my annual subscription as stated by Sky .They say that the account will be suspended and will be continued if I leave Sky It would therefore appear I am paying Sky £4 extra a month for a service I already had.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
We had paid Disney directly for Standard with no ads via an annual payment (Nov last year). Have now linked Disney account via Sky but want to downgrade to Disney Standard with ads and pay nothing extra. Any idea how I go about this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Thank you. I've checked via the process you suggested using my TV and it says I'm on standard with no ads. Although the MySky phone app is showing me this (see pic). I guess as long as I don't confirm the plan or press Buy Disney +, I won't be charged?

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Hi
I've activated Disney Plus via the My Sky App. Going through the process, I signed in with my Disney Plus details etc. It said my subscription with Disney Plus would be paused, now that I was getting it with ads via Sky.
The My Sky App is then asking me to confirm my plan, but only showing the Disney Plus Premium Plan for £9.00.
Thanks in Advance
Barry 🙂

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
A movie that was watched on Disney+ is stuck in my continue watching rail as only part watched even though it was watched to the end. I have tried going into the app to clear it by fast forwarding to the end but it is still there. I don't want to go down the route of turning the feature off in the MySky app for it to clear everything. Any ideas why this is happening? It isn't happening to anything else I am watching on Disney+.

The activation process looks to cut over the billing 'as is'. If you're already subscribed to Disney+ on the Premium tier, it will activate with Skys billing on the Premium tier and charge you £9 for your first month. Same if your Disney+ subscription is the Standard tier, it will activate you on the Standard tier and charge you £4.
If you want to activate on the Basic With Ads tier, before activating with Sky, go into the Disney+ webpage, go into your account and downgrade your subscription tier to Basic With Ads. Then activate with Sky, It should bring you over to to the Basic With Ads tier without getting charged. You should then be free to leave your Disney+ tier as is or upgrade to one of the higher tiers and 'pay the difference'.

Ok I expected you to see a downgrade option there.
On your Sky Stream under MySky can you see a downgrade path;
- Go to My Sky on your Stream.
- Select Shop then the app you want to change.
- Choose the new plan you want, and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm.

As well as my post above.
I have mentioned the downgrade path as you are describing in our closed area for clarification from Sky.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
I have activated my account via the option on the Sky Home Screen. I have a Disney plus login already but not active subscription. I can see the Disney plus Home Screen on Sky now but Sky still doesn't think it's activated in My Sky. I want to upgrade the subscription to no ads. How do I do this if Sky doesn't think I have activated it?

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Think I've made a right mess of mine.
I paid disney standard £89.90 in October - rarely used it so don't know if that was with or without ads.
I just wanted the free version now, so was expecting to just activate it and then be refunded the difference, but it was asking for card details and said it would be £4 a month, so I didn't click confirm.
Now when i check in "mysky" on the tv is says I have the standard with ads £0 but I haven't received anything with regards to a refund and when I look at my sky account online it says
