Disney+ through Sky has been registered to someone else

I cannot link Disney+ through Sky to my own account. I keep getting a message saying 'third party subscription is already registered to another person'. One of the kids has logged into a Disney+ account belonging to a friend when they stayed and it has attached to that person's account. I spoke to the person whose account it is and they spoke to Disney+ who couldn't help and said to speak to Sky. I spoke to Sky who initially blamed Disney+ but then said they had fixed but I am still having the same problem. Anyone else having the same issue? Any help would be much appreciated.

@Traceywit  sky have confirmed to us that only Disney has the authority to unlink accounts

so you or the Disney account holder will have to get back in the with Disney and don't take no for an answer if they try and pass the buck to sky

Sounds like during your transfer as you mentioned a 'mess' when you tried a downgrade.

You will need to wait until the premium  tier has finished as the date shows 16th April in your previous picture posting and then complete your activation within MySky.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Hi,

I have a Disney plus annual premium subscription that I've just been billed for.

I want to change to the free subscription through Sky.

I understand that Disney plus should provide a refund of the annual subscription, however as it's premium it will still charge £9 per month.
Will I then be able to change this to the free monthly subscription?
Ideally I'd like to change this before I'm charged the first £9 but not sure this is possible? I don't want to be stuck paying £9 a month without being able to change the subscription for a year? (As I had the yearly premium subscription)

Im a little confused by your post.

If you were originally on the annual premium, you should have been able to cancel your tier during activation and Disney will refund you within 14 days to your original Disney account payment method.

If when you activated, you were in a monthly plan with Disney, that tier will pass through to your current Sky Disney +.

Within the monthly timeframe, you will at some point be able to go into your MySky under Your products > App subscriptions and download your tier.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Does this mean that the second payment of £5.99 will stop being taken out?

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

After a week of frustration I finally got this sorted by calling a Disney plus directly and spoke with a UK base customer service agent who within a few moments sorted out the issue and stayed on the phone while I activated it through the ridiculously long sky steps.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I have switched my Disney+ subscription to Sky and as I have Premium I have paid the additional £9.

I have a couple of questions:

Will the subscription be added to my monthly sky TV bill or will it always be paid separately using the payment method when I transferred to Sky?

I want to downgrade the the subscription in the next couple of weeks (to Strandard without Ads) but when I look to change it via the app it wants me to pay another £4. That can't be write as I only paid £9 five days ago.

No it won't be added to your monthly Sky bill. As its managed via the Sky Marketplace, payment will be taken on the payment details you provided, based on your Disney + payment date.

@nellam01  The charge will always be applied to the payment card, it will never be added to your tv bill

You can't downgrade until  next billing cycle so that's why you are currently seeing the charge

at next billing the charge will show correctly
