I connect my Sky Stream puck to my Denon AV receiver by the HDMI cable supplied by Sky. The receiver displays the input as "Sky TV". I can change it in the Denon app to be "Sky", but as soon as the puck is switched on, the name reverts to "Sky TV".
This matters to me because the display on the receiver only has enough space to display "Sky T". How can I change the HDMI name to "Sky"?

A quick look online suggests that's different for various Denon AVR models. It's up to Denon what gets displayed: the Sky device will be presenting a standard code identification string.

@PSG What model of Denon AVR are you using?
Using a Denon X3500H in the lounge here, with all the HDMI inputs manually renamed, so HDMI1 is 'Sky Stream', 2 is 'Apple TV', 3 is 'PlayStation 5' etc.

Thanks. Maybe this cannot be fixed.

I have a Denon AVR S670H. I can change the input name on Denon, but it gets overridden once the Sky puck has been switched on. Annoying!

@75sky Many thanks, that worked.
I would never have thought that setting the name by the remote would produce different results than the Denon app.

no problem glad it's sorted for you
