SKY could do it but they don't want to spend the money
I entirely agree: that is the situation. That's why it's called a business decision.

it seems to me that so called Super Users just toe the company line and are in my opinion useless.
Where in my response did I suggest I was either supportive of Sky or any viewpoint other than my own?

Well this is a pointless debate as nothing is going to change.
When my 18 month contract comes up for renewal I will probably cancel Sky Stream and revert to my original combination of Terrestrial TV with it's plus 1 service, Netflix and my Apple TV hardware which gives me access to everything else I want to watch that is streamed.

@TimmyBGood All your responses have in my opinion, been completely unhelpful and are only supporting why you think +1 is irrelevant. If you were a proper helpful Super User then perhaps you would make the suggestion to SKY but you won't because it doesn't suit you or SKY so as I said useless.

Sky management gets feedback from this forum (that's part of what the Community Managers do)
I'd think there would have to be a very considerable volume of such feedback from here and other routes in order to reverse a business decision fundamentally built into the design of the streaming service (which, it's perhaps worth noting, is fundamentally a Comcast product)
As I said up there, you and I obviously disagree on the point of +1 in an online world, and that's OK.

@Skycat992 who's to say it hasn't been raised by others including non superusers
superusers may have a line of communication with sky but that doesn't mean we can sway business decisions
have you used your right to make the suggestion yourself email viewerr@sky.uk to do so

My statement to Sky (I like making statements, as you might have noticed ; ) would be that some forum posters are unhappy with the absence of +1 channels on Glass/Stream.
Not that they are likely to ask, mind you.
I'm not going to 'suggest' that I, personally, want to see +1 channels, because I don't: I never used them on satellite either.
For what it's worth, I seriously doubt the opinion of 'Superusers' one way or the other makes the tiniest bit of difference in the Comcast boardroom, or frankly that they are even aware of our existence.

@TimmyBGood totally agree and FYI I wasn't implying that yourself had to make any such statements but highlighting others could have/can do the same

I'm not going to get into arguments about superusers and their comments BUT
Ive recently moved to sky having previously been with Virgin and before that BT. Both of these have catch-up on the main system, something I hadn't realised that Sky doesn't"t provide. If Sky doesn't provide this feature in the future I will leave when my contract renewel is due. I left Sky back in the 90's vowing never to use them again, I "m now just a little sorry I didn't stick to my convictions. Ah well, I realise Sky isn't going to change and hope that other competitors don't follow Sky.

+1 channels are irrelevant on a streaming platform.
However, if I want to browse - for instance - shows that are available on Sky Sci-Fi I can't do that directly in Sky Stream. Me and my family can only do so through Sky Go on our phones (if I share access). It seems weird that I can search and watch on my TV, but have to browse on a different device. Its the same for UKTV Play.
Unless I'm missing something?
To the original poster: you don't need a +1 channel. If you've missed the live showing of something just voice search it and choose the episode you want from the list. This is better than +1 because your can do it anytime, not just within and hour of the programme finishing.

@VoodooMike If you go to the TV Shows button, next to playlist on the Home Screen, then scroll down you will see a rail called Sky Channels. If you scroll across there you will see Sky SciFi listed, and when clicking it on it will list all the shows available from Sky SciFi. The same should apply for UKTV Play but thats slightly further down the TV Shows page under Channels rail aong with ITV, C4 etc.

You just go to the ITV. X app
and watch it when you want. I don't see why this is a problem, and it totally negates the need for a +1 as they are on demand.
