@Kirsty155 If you scroll down all the way to the bottom of your Sky Stream's home page, there should be a section called Get to know your Sky Stream. In there are a couple of useful video guides; Adding to playlist & Accessing playlist. The videos are only a minute or so long and will show you what Sky Stream's equivalent to Sky+HD/Sky Q recording and playing recordings is.

Re: Can I record with sky stream
@Kirsty155 No you can't record in the conventional sense you add things to a playlist and watch later from there
or use the channels catch up apps directly to watch later

Re: Can I record with sky stream
Thank you. So adding to a playlist effectively saves that program?

@Kirsty155 yes but not indefinitely only for as long as the broadcasters makes the program available ( this can be either days, weeks, months, years)
it's also important to note that whilst may hold the as live rights they may not necessarily also hold the on demand rights
the means for example if you add a film from say channel 5 to your playlist to watch later and not live when you go to watch it the system will direct you to the channel/service that holds the on demand rights this may require you to upgrade to for example sky cinema in order to watch if you don't already subscribe to it

Not really: it either bookmarks the item in a channel app for playback from there, or creates a 'cloud recording' which will persist on Sky servers for up to a year (although potentially only for a much shorter time)

Sky Steam's Recored Button is the `+` button on the remote but need to set up a profile first before you can use it, thats why its red... 🙂 I wish the remote had the soruce button... 🙂 to switch soruces I have to use the Sky Q remote... 🙂
I am not a Sky Engineer but at one time wanted to be one or a BT Engineer... 🙂
I like working things out like its a puzzle... 🙂
I was a PC Engineer and fix peoples PCs by going to there house, Windows XP was known to slow down PCs over time and clog up the PCs RAM and its start-up and had to reinstall it for the customer, the only way you could fix WinXP.
