Can I get simple program timetable with skystreaming?

Just switched from dish to streaming. Can I get simple "what's on" menu vs time like I had previously?

You mean the TV Guide? The Puck has one.

Hi @Graham157 The best you will get on the streaming platform is on the homescreen go down to the TV guide rail and select the View All button (first box).  You can then select all programmes of just specific things such as Sport etc.

Once in the listings if you hold the right side of the remote circle you will see option to move forward by days of the week.

Re: Can I get simple program timetable with skystreaming?

The old Sky system (with satellite dish) had a simple black and white menu with stations down the left side and times on the horizontal scale. It was easily programmable too; channels never used can be removed, desired programs marked and/or set for being recorded plus other simple features. It did everything that was necessary and was quick and easy to use. The new system sacrifices simple usability for coloured pictures where only a few channels are visible without slowly scanning. It is a classic mistake to replace a simple feature with a poor alternative that is (in someone's mind) visually, and superficially, more attractive.

Speaking as somebody new to Sky's ecosystem as I'd rarely used Sky Q and only had Sky HD many many years ago, I adapted to the Stream menu system very easily and quickly after moving from our previous TV providers system. I find everything to be clearly labelled and logically placed on the front screen. The only thing I'd like to be added is a reminder facility for when a life broadcast is about to start. This would be handy for an F1 session or a particular football match.

Going from MS-DOS to Windows seems to have worked out reasonably well...

There's just no way to have a linear channel listing reflect the range of options on a modern streaming platform.

Horses for courses I guess.  I prefer the Stream tv guide to SkyQ.  I agree there is nothing wrong with the SkyQ system it worked very well, but so does the Stream system.  I like the way you can choose each day as mentioned above @Fothergill1 and being able at a touch of a button choose what category you want, i.e. Sport, Movies, etc.
