What is the quickest way to cancel sky stream without incurring any cost whilst in a contract?
I bought sky stream a few months ago and pay a lot of money and in principle it's a great product however the puck is so cheaply made it crashes all the time , freezes and the volume is ahead of the pictures.
watching a recorded football match is impossible as it jumps the whole way through.
overall it's a very disappointing product [comments removed]

You need to call Sky and tell them you want to cancel. If you are in a contact and past your 31 day cooling off it's totally up to Sky if they allow this, but there have been reports on the forum that they do.
The other option is to make a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint
Do not just cancel your DD as Sky will persue you for any balance and this may affect your credit rating.
I have 4 pucks and a Glass TV and don't suffer freezing. The key is to ensure strong and stable broadband connection to the puck. It requires 24Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD. You may have a better experience using an ethernet cable (and turning WiFi off in the puck settings and giving it a reboot).

Outside the cooling-off period you'd need to present an argument under wider consumer protection legislation.

I was in contract and when I called Sky due to the puck performing poorly I was able to cancel with no penalty. It was a very straightforward process.

Give them 30 days notice, you're legally protected and can cancel penalty free, there's nothing Sky can do about it, it's under the recently ammended digital media consumer rights
Ignore anyone saying otherwise and Sky are fully aware of these laws

@YNWA i would recommend getting independent advice from a trusted organisation than relying on a public forum.

I had sky Q but decided to cancel as issue with neighbours trees and sat signal...and the cost!! so out of contract in June this year...cancelled...and then the get you back team got in touch in October to lure you back and they offered me sky puck for £13...which they then denied and then agreed...all conversations are recorded for training purposes....but!! ...it doesnt work and kept saying no wifi...and its on a LAN cable...the one the Q was on...so that doesnt add up...and then it wouldnt connect via lan...said connected to Network....but its EE....haha...so I spent a good hour resetting it with a sky support person...over and over again and we eventually decided...ok..turn off wifi and con only over the lan...but...on Friday last week...ooops...something went wrong..wouldnt work...but switched it off and rebooted and it did...then on Saturday it completely died black screen of death and sound...support said its your EE router...they arent compatible..lol...so I said...ok...cancell then because its ...NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE....and thats the point...if something isnt working because you have not done anything to make it not work...thats the word to use...and I dont think these are fit for purpose...not for £38 a month if you dont get a deal...its a joke...Sky Q was also an issue 5 years ago..lines down my tv and dom and gen replaced tv but once tv was out of the room its worked ever since!!...samsung blamed sky and visa versa...total waste of my time...so puck is back in the box to go back to sky and I will stick to a combi of smart uhd tv and my amazon fire tv stick...more reliable...hope this helps...good luck
