Blender Foundation Presents 😡

Every single morning when I power up my puck I get this message. It's really annoying as I have to switch between channels to remove it. 

Too much pressing buttons at that time in the morning.  Anyone else having the same issue and is there a permanent fix?

@Garybaldi1  That doesn't sound like a puck message as it has no relevance to said foundation.

Blender Fountaion are more of a gaming softwear company so it's unlikely coming from your puck. Do you also have a games console or another device connected to your TV?

If so my advice would be to disconnect those devices and see if the issue continues.

Hi @Garybaldi1  Personally I have never heard of this message so I just googled it with the phrase "why does my Sky Stream say Blender Foundation Presents".  Apparently it relates to a software issue during bootup of the Stream puck and can happen to other devices such as Apple TV and Smart TVs.

If you google the above phrase it gives a number of options to try and resolve it.  The first suggestion is to reboot by unplugging the puck at the socket for a minute and then plug it in again to clear any software glitches.

It's definitely the puck. I have it on mine too when the TV is switched off overnight but the puck goes into standby later.

It may be that Blender was used to create the colourful animation when SkyOS boots. Some form of corruption may be preventing the animation loading, therefore defaulting to the 'Blender Foundation Presents' message instead.  Just a theory.

It seems pretty strange, and I can understand how frustrating it can be.

Can I ask you to provide the following the next time it happens, please?

• Can you post a picture or video of the problem
• When does it appear?
• Which key presses did you make before experiencing the problem?

Definitely on the puck. The games console is powered off. The sky menu is showing but the channel small mini screen shows that message

Apologies, it looks like me replying to someone doesn't include their message, which is confusing. 

anyway, 

the message on screen is white writing on a black background in the BBC 1 hd window when I first power up the puck. If I then select BBC2 (or any other channel) then go back to BBC 1 it disappears. I will try and get a picture but that might be difficult as I am not always "first up" in the morning. It happens no other time of the day.

I googled the image. This is an image I found (this forum actually) of the same thing. This is what I get also.

Putton press: power

(the puck had powered itself down, it had been left on Channel 4)

There was a circle spinning on it here, as if it was trying to load the channel.

If I select that window, this is full screen:
