There was a story in the Express this morning.

No indication there will be a livestream: this isn't exactly an event of Apple magnitude...

The last event was live streamed on you tube

Certainly, but that was the launch of a new generation technology, the first ever Sky-branded television, and the inaugural product designed, built and released under Comcast ownership, so they threw rather a lot of money into the event as the start of the Glass marketing campaign.
It was also came as pandemic restrictions were a very recent memory...

I have 4 pucks all connected by wifi, all pucks are stable, connection is rock solid. I believe that this is attributable to not using the cheap routers that the majority of ISP's supply to their customers. Invest a few quid in a decent router and a lot of your issues go away.
Many call the pucks cheap crap and that is more or less true, if Sky are not prepared to supply decent streaming pucks it's also likely they'll provide cheap routers that simply aren't up to the job.

Yeh definitely. Only got to May then I can bin it .

You can end your Sky Stream subscription any time with 31 days notice. There is no termination fee at the moment for Sky Stream. Obviously, you lose the £40 quid for each additional puck as they have to go back. I terminated early, with no cost, just before Chsristmas - just the 31 days notice.

Good to know . I'll give it a week or two and see if this new WiFi max settles down 👍

Hi All, I have been with Sky 22 years paying over £100+ a month for all channels and services and 2 mini boxes, this is on Sky Q,
I want the new sky glass and 2 pucks, firstly I'm paying for a new tv let's say £19 a month
but my monthly package on Q can't be matched on sky glass or stream, so for me to get exactly what I have now transfered over to glass and stream it's £18 extra a month for no extra service? How can they do this? Makes no sense ? Someone pls help ?
why would I lose Q without record etc and pay more ?
at least give me A deal to take me off Q which they will eventually want me to do no?

In theory there is no need for Sky to really offer good deals to encourage Q users to migrate to the streaming platform at the moment as it looks like at the end of the decade the satellite service will cease to function so satellite users will be forced off of it anyway.

Makes sense, but surely, keep your customer longer on a new contract and every one happy?
no need to charge more for the same service, greedy if you ask me ... ?

Unless im mistaken or I've misread the post Isn't the cost more because you are also paying for the TV? If you take the TV cost out and went with say a Sky Stream puck instead the monthly cost would be different. Also adding the cost of theTV repayment in also isn't a like for like comparison.
