Add to Playlsit on Sky Stream Remotley

I previosly had a BT box and could use my BT app to schedule recordings. I know that you presently cannot add to a sky puk playslist remotely via the Sky Go app,  But I find it very frustraing that in this world of hi-tech that this cannot be set up. Is this likley to be added as it is a key service that I am missing?

@Rowington  Sky Go is a legacy app for Sky Q and can't support Stream as they are different systems entirely.

@GD1  Like @Rowington I am frustrated not being able to add to the Playlist remotely.  I accept SkyGo relates to SkyQ but could Stream not set up a seperate system to allow it?

@Stephen+Mourton We can't answer that as we have no insight into the intricate workings of an app, however given they have implemented the apop to work with Glas/Stream my guess would be not possible

Hi @Rowington

Given that your don't record locally on Sky Stream it's not as key as it was with Sky Q or EE (BT) TV as playlists point to the correct streaming service app or sky's cloud recording which exist independently of you recording it.

However it is a bit less convenient I'll give you that if you see something advertised or talking about a show with someone, its always handy to be able to add things there and then.

@mikealanr   Thanks for that, however another reason for adding remotely is for live programs which are not always immediately available after the match or event.

If the SkyGo app is not compatible and Sky are pushing more and more for streaming, why cannot they develop an app that is?  If a user is logged intothier account three must be ways of adding to playlists remotely.

@Rowington No one knows what Sky's future plans are with Sky Go, or with the ability to manage playlists remotely as Sky don't publicise their plans. Take the recent release of the virtual remote app for Sky Glass/Stream, the first time it became public was when Sky released the app and the subsequent press releases and articles on their website about it.
