.... tried the right button a few times, but still get the not available message
....wondering if sky actually enabled the skipping at all 🤔
Go into your My Sky app or vis My sky online webpage
Select Your Products
Select Manage Home set-up
Scroll downto Ad Skipping and it will show you if Ad skiiping is on, it will say 'Already yours'.
If not you can select it there and that activates it straight away.
It is £5 a mnth or often itis offered every two months on a two month offer at £0, make sure to cancel it on any day in the second month before the offer expires.

If you find ad skipping to be problematic (as I did) keep an eye out for offers on Channel 4+ and ITVX Premium. It's a much better experience having the ads removed with these services. I got a deal on ITVX Premium - a year for £19.99, and Channel 4+ I got for £24.99 last year. If you watch a lot of content from those channels on catch-up then I recommend it.

Good your working now.
Did just see your pic and saw no home setup options.
Enjoy, skipping the ads.
Ad skipping works well, I have not had any glitches with it, since I moved to Sky Stream in February.
Probably use it just about every day, with some of my playlisted stuff from ITV, C5 and C4 set of channels.
Do remember if you ff through a programme within the apps, you may hit another ad within the programme, getting a brief black screen before the ad starts, do the same holding down the remote and you will be fine.

Re: Ad Skipping!
So they seem to have added a new feature where you can just click to skip ads instead of fast forwarding them. Sounds great? Unfortunately it seems to have issues (surprise, surprise)! Last night whilst watching the latest Day of The Jackal episode we skipped the last ad break but not only did it skip the ad break it skipped about 10 mins of the final part. We only realised when the episode finished as we thought that seemed a bit quick and there seemed to be a bit of a gap in the story!!!! So be careful with it !

Re: Ad Skipping!
I came here to ask about this as I don't have that option yet but I do have the ad skipping enabled. Can I ask how you get this - did your TV update automatically?

Re: Ad Skipping!
I just noticed it appear almost a couple of weeks ago. At the start of ad breaks a small box appears in the bottom right hand corner saying "skip ads".

It's part of the new software update.
Updates can't be forced - Sky roll over out in batches overnights so it's just a case of waiting until the update is pushed to your device.

Re: Ad Skipping!
- Totally agree. My ITV just stopped working and I cannot get ITVX for on demand. Very frustrating and annoying.
