Hi guys and girls quick question noticed today that sky store got most new films such as spiderman seems only be hd to rent despite having the new seat 2tb v3 hdr box to even get and films 4k you seem to have to go on side menu to find 4k ones is there a issue with there software just seems weird that the new spiderman film is hd only.

Sky can only resell the content that distributors are prepared to supply.  If Disney calculate they will get a better return from selling 4K Blu-ray than streaming UHD, that's what they'll do.

Sky Store is designed for convenience, not quality. 

You can buy Spider-Man: No Way Home on iTunes today in 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos at the correct frame rate for the same price that Sky Store are charging for HD at the wrong frame rate. 

If you want the best quality of new movie releases then you need to look elsewhere.

I  have just looked and I found the latest Spider man film available to rent in UHD (although not currently showing as available in HDR) but I had to look for it in the UHD section (It is possible that the UHD version has only recently been uplaoded)

I should point out that in SKY Store you can only rent UHD  versions - you can't buy the UHD versions

For me it is on row 4 of the Ultra HD  -

I am guessing it was availble to rent a few weeks ago as it is now available to buy also

It is usual to be able to rent a few weeks earlier than  being able to buy

Spider-Man: No Way Home hasn't been available for rent. It's a big release that's been deliberately held back following it's hugely successful cinema run. It's gone straight to being available for purchase on all the main streaming sites (iTunes/Prime/Rakuten, etc) so they can maximise the money they make.

Lol I even restarted my sky to look lol that's ok then gather only hd at moment on skystore I'll find other ways getting it 4k on my tv

iTunes, Amazon Prime, Rakuten... there are various places to get it today in 4K.

Buy it on iTunes and watch via the Apple TV app if your CX has it. That way you'll get 4K with Dolby Vision.

Hi, 

So like a few people I am trying to get Spiderman today, after the Digital + DVD combo.

On the skystore app on my phone it apears as a purchase option, but when I go to pay it comes up with

"Can't connect to Sky Store" There is a problem at the moment, Please check your network connection and try again. 

If going on via Desktop it has no purchase options and says:

"Only content that has been downloaded can be watched outside of UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands."

Is there a problem with the website at the moment or could it be my user settings?
