You have bought it online then
So it's either view it on your iPad / or a laptop - or use Chromecast (if you have one) to send it to your TV.

Just in case you hadn't seen the change - Sky changed the "ways to watch" wording
It now says
"Rent
If you rent a movie on your Sky box, you can only watch it on that box. If you rent a movie on your registered device, it'll be available on all your devices but you can only watch on one at a time."
As you know it used to say something like "you can only view on the device you rent on"

Then you rented it online and not via your TV which means you can watch it online and via your iPad and any other device like a LG TV but not via your Sky Q box.
