If you are new to the forum, or this is your first post, then welcome to the Community which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.
The card is situated in a slot on the right hand side. Push the card in slightly and it will pop out so you can remove it. Perhaps give it a wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Then reinsert it with the chip facing down and the arrow facing the box. Make sure you hear it click back into place.

Re: viewing card
What's the basis for your complaint? Replacement cards are sent out via Royal Mail so you will be relying on the postal service.
Once you are back up and running you could ask Sky for a credit to be placed on your account for the time you've been without service but there's no guarantee Sky will do that as it'd be as a good will gesture.
If you still wish to make a complaint see the methods in this link.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint
Sky will aim to resolve it in 10 days but in reality they have up to 6 weeks to resolve it or you can then request a deadlock letter potentially allowing you to take it further.
