You tube buffering

This past week the youtube app has been intermittently buffering where it never has done so before. We have no Internet issues. My young son is Autistic and really struggles every time it comes up loading on the screen- please help!!!

Re: You tube buffering

I'm experiencing something like this. The video stream and a audio suddenly goes out of sync and then the video pauses and we get the buffering sign where it gets stuck. If you skip the video forward using the remote it suddenly jumps back a few seconds and starts playing again. No internet issues, so anyone got any ideas.

Hardwire your Q to the router

Re: You tube buffering

My SkyQ has also developed this unusual buffering symptom after pausing a YouTube video then resuming. Goes out if sync then buffers. Never did this before. My sky q is hardwired and I get 500mbps download speed.

Is wifi disabled?

Re: You tube buffering

Yes, I have disabled WiFi on all SkyQ devices. But is there an easy way to check that Sky Q hasn't defaulted back to WiFi and is using the hardwired cable connection?

Re: You tube buffering

Ive been getting the same. never happened before. Same videos are working fine in the TV's app so its not the internet signal. Wifi is off too and everything hard wired back to the sky q main box. Contstantly getting tv schedule not found as well.

Yeah, double check it's still disabled.

Re: You tube buffering

I'm having a similar issue if I pause it it suddenly jumps back and freezes I'm guessing if is the app as it's only done it in the last few weeks

Also I'm hardwired not WiFi

Re: You tube buffering

After putting up with this the past month or so, I thought I would check to see if it was just my homes Sky that was having this issue on YouTube when you pause. It was never an issue for years previously, and looking at the comments it looks like everyone has the same issue, so I'm assuming it's something Sky have changed.

I really hope they fix it, as it's very frustrating.

Re: You tube buffering

There has been no change with this for me. Its really annoying because even a breif pause causes the buffering. So long as you dont hit pause, its absoutely fine but that's not really good enough.

Re: You tube buffering

Exact same issue as described by many others. Pause playback momentarily and then press play to continue playback. Video will initially play then will run briefly with no audio before eventually pausing. Eventually the video will restart normal playback. It appears it can be sped up by fast forwarding the video slightly. Again, like others this issue has only started in the last couple of months. Quite frustrating and would be nice if an update was put in place to resolve.

Exact same issue here. Does anybody know a fix as of yet?
