Apologies.
I suspect other people have raised this topic.
I have a Sky Q box and Sky Sports.
I keep hearing and reading about the new Sky Sports +.channel.
When will Sky Sports + be launched and added to the Sky Sports channels and do we have a date of the launch and do we know what number channel it will be.
Moderator note: Amended title to better reflect query

Thanks for the very quick replies.
i was worried that my Sky Q box was faulty and not updating.
I note from the above replies, the new channel Sky Sports + will be launched next week and will be channel 412 and will replace Sky Sports Arena.
I assume I do not have to anything.

Yes, although the new channel only showcases content with the majority of live coverage coming through the Sky Sports+ app, which will also be available.

If it is on the Sky Sports+ channel, yes, if it isn't then no.
You will likely be able to watch it on demand via the app though.
I really recommend you read the promo material on the launch, the vast majority of sport shown will not be on the live channel, but streamed via the app and therefore cannot be recorded.

I started this thread.
i am getting very confused. I am of an age where I find modern technology so very difficult
When the new channel is launched, on channel 412,, will I simply be able to chose what live game I want to watch on that channel and I will also be able to record the game. In other words will it be like all other Sky Sports channels.

I am now getting very confused.
I have Sky Q box.
The new channel Sky Sports + on channel 412 will only show some of the live games and you will have to use the app. to watch most of the games which I assume will also be available to watch on your Sky Q box.

1 new channel is launching to replace Sky Sports Arena called Sky Sports+.
You can record what is on it just like any other channel.
But, if the channel shows Leeds v. Norwich for example (to keep @Pastaman2017 happy), all the other EFL games that are on at the same time, will be available as a live stream in the new Sky Sports+ app which is also launching.
You will not be able to record those games, only stream live or watch later on demand.

I think you will find that on SKY Q a lot of alternative content will be availble via the Red Button rather than just relying on the App itself just like additional feeds already on F1 (e.g. individual Driver's cams)
