Used the optical and the arc, none of them worked. Sky cable going from tv to sky box. Bose hdmi trying in every hdmi port on the tv, still no sound

Was the optical from the SKY Q box to the Bose Sound system ?
What setting di dyou have in
:Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual
Digital audio output Optical
if it is set to Dolby Digital can you try setting it to Normal

Just done that as you said and changed it to normal and nothing changed

hmm - I have no idea why that would not work unless there is something technically failing in either the Q box or the Bose system (or I guess a faulty cable) , assuming you can select the Optical input OK on the Bose system

Have you tried changing the input of the soundbar from toslink to hdmi or vice versa

Not sure what toslink is? Its a Bose sound link, so 5.1 surround sound.

Sorry, toslink is Optical Audio. It's used interchangeably.
