Update to newer Sky Q box

I am looking into getting two multiscreen boxes for my kids' rooms.

The answer posted here https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/Sky-multiscreen/m-p/5141365#M718096 says that the original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use.    I have one of these (based on the hardware version number).

Can I update to the newer Sky Q box, and if so, how?

Hi @6walton   Yes, but I'm afraid that you will have to contact Sky. There will be a charge to swap. Note the social media links at the bottom of this page. Upgrade, downgrade or change your Sky products.

@6walton  If you do upgrade, usually this is done via doorstep swap & if so you need to make sure you take out your viewing card from your old box before you hand it over.

(We see many posts from customers who don;t realise or forget)

You, also, probably are aware but just in case, you need to be aware that you cannot transfer any recordings (although you can re-download any purchased content & others may be availble via Catch-up/On demand)

@6walton

And in addition to the advice from @nigea99 about the viewing card, also accept any new power cable DPD deliver with the box in case it's different to the one you have.
