Ultimate TV

Why oh why ... does Sky do this! They advertise a Easter egg special on home page... my kids get exited and want to open a egg and watch the secret lives of animals we click to watch it.... but you can only watch it on Apple TV...!!! You need to subscribe and pay to watch it!!!! Why does Sky do this!! I pay for the full Sky package costing me £180 a month, but somehow still cannot watch all the channels...

Re: Ultimate TV

I only put the ultimate tv as the title as it was the only option available. If I wanted to apply for Apple TV I'll go to Apple TV to subscribe to it. It's £3 then £9 a month. The point I'm trying to make is why is it on Sky and as a Easter special. When you try to see what the eggs offers you it's shows a great show that you can't watch. I've got the full package, including Netflix, Disney, prime and paramount.. why do I need to pay for another subscription to watch a program in my sky tv guide...

You can only purchase a TV sub from Apple...

They advertise programmes for all the apps the platform supports.

Because Apple needs the money?

Sky Q (and Glass/Stream) are platforms for multiple apps in addition to the ones you mention, all of which are effectively renting home page real-estate from Sky in order to try and gain the attention of  Sky subscribers.

Technically they could adapt the home page to the subs you have, but better to 'advertise' of course...
