Trying to Cancel Dazn

I got DAZN last month for the Joshua fight.

Paid £20 and I'm now trying to cancel it.

However there isn't any email from dazn to any of my email addresses, and I can't sign as none of the emails are recognised as a valid account, yet they have charged me another £20 and I'm still getting the DAZN channel.

How do you cancel this, Sky say it's nothing to with them, and DAZN deny I even have an account with them as none of my details match an account.

Assuming you are paying DazN directly @Thehig

Looks like only DazN can help you.

You have to call them on the number shown on this page.- https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/help/articles/sky-uk-existing-subscribers

There is also a chat option on that page which may be able to help

Those contact details are for those who registered using their Sky viewing card number - and not the online website.

The Online Dazn team and the Sky/Dazn team are two different departments and seems there is little overlap.

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

@Thehig I did exactly the same for the Joshua x Franklin fight and am facing the same issue. Just called the number above. DAZN confirmed that I can cancel my subscription, but not until March 2024!! Apparently, when signing up to a DAZN 'monthly saver' subscription to access the channel via Sky, there was 12-month minimum term in the small print. I bet this has caught A LOT of people out - incredibly decietful.

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

Yeah the best advice for dealing with Dazn is to try to avoid ever signing up in the first place. It's part of their business model to make it as difficult to end the contract as possible.

You have to call them to cancel the Sky membership, and it's a premium rate number (:

There used to be a 0 3 3 3 number in that page I linked - but seems to have been removed.

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

Sorted it by requesting a stop payment order from Santander.

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

@Thehig nice!! How does that work with DAZN though? Surely a breach of contract and they'll come knocking... did the bank give you any advice? I'm also with Santander so might do the same

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

I've got the exact same problem! I am usually very careful with things like this but I noticed the £9.99 subscription fee taken again this month after I thought I'd cancelled... I had cancelled but not until 2024!! I'm fuming! It's so misleading. Have you been able to resolve this? Is there a way to cancel this 12 month contract early??

I presume the terms are similar to Sky's where if you 'agree' a minimum subscription period then you cannot cancel.

I suspect it's not a 'hidden term' but many haven't taken the time to fully read the terms before agreeing to them...

Cancelling payments isn't a solution either.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

Was in my case because they didnt have any record of my account and I didn't sign up for 12 months it was monthly flex pass.

Re: Trying to Cancel Dazn

@Thehig Did this work out, or did DAZN come knocking?
