TV saying i have no Internet

What is wrong with Sky since the weekend - my broadband is messed up - cant watch TV stating no internet - tried to watch recorded programmes  - couldnt go forward or rewind.  Stated technical issues.  What is also up with U&alibi - cant seem to watch missed CSI Vegas - Episode 4 due to damn system  - only Episode 1 available.  Sky is really not worth it anymore.  Continuous problems. Have turned Sky Q box off and on continuously.  I am so done now.

Hi @mazzzy62

First reset your broadband router.
If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). Don't unplug or switch off your router while it resets. The power light will go green when it's done.
If on 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router.
If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
If you are on Sky Broadband with the new Sky Max router then you need to connect it as if it is a 3rd party router.
If you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Re: TV saying i have no Internet

Hi there, thank you for your reply.  I've done everything you've stated.  WPS/Reset.  It does last for a while when I use the WPS process, but the following day it goes off into no internet again.   Currently I havent had live TV since the weekend - apart from the internet issue, it also states there are technical issues, bounces between no satelite signal plus technical.  I am just so fed up.  No point in ringing Sky, last time I tried  to explain, whoever it was put the phone down on me, so seriously thinking of signing off after 25 years.  The last couple of years with them has been expensive and awful.  Again thank you for your response, appreciated.

Hi @mazzzy62

If Sky is your Broadband supplier,  do you have a White or a Black Sky router.

Also if you frequently have a  No Satellite signal message,

Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.
Alternately, if you are on a Communal Dish you will need to contact your Landlord or Management company.
