TNT Sports - HBO

Morning, I wanted to speak to a person but all I get is chat bots or similar. I have TNT Sports package I pay for, and access from TV guide. TNT goes onto HBO on March 26th. Two questions when are we getting HBO ? on Sky Ultimate and I assume I can cancel what I pay for TNT Sports. Trouble is I can go in via Discovery but I cannot record from there as I don't often wish to view live.

@derekbrooks  I can say with certainty nothing will change as far as recordings and access to live channels on Sky Q goes so long as you continue to pay sky for your TNT sports subscription

HBO Max has its UK and RoI launch scheduled for Thursday March 26th.

@derekbrooks  you still have to pay sky if you want access to the tv guide (nothing changes in that respect - the tv channels aren't going anywhere)

all that is changing is that on demand access is moving from discovery plus to hbo max and your current discovery plus access will automatically switch to HBO max

@derekbrooks as per @SKY1992bf 's response the way you watch live isn't changing, providing you keep the TNT Sports subscription through Sky.

All that is changing is that all the TNT Sports content currently on Discoery +  will be moving to the HBO Max app on the 26th March.

And just to restate - you will still have to pay for TNT Sports, we won't be getting that for free.

Hi @derekbrooks   What makes you believe that is changing? You cannot record streaming.

when asking to Cancel TNT sports this was the reply I received this morning. Can anyone confirm this is correct as I feel I am paying twice.

If you have TNT sports  though Sky you pay  £34 a month ( less if you get a discount) this gives you access the 4 TNT live TNT sports channels and access to TNT sport content on the HBO max app. If you cancel your TNT sports subscription though Sky you will not only lose the TNT live channels  but the access to TNT content on HBO max app. As the basic Sky deal of HBO max on you Sky subscription  only applies to the basic with ads entertainment  content tier, if you are not a TNT sports subscriber though Sky. . How do think you are paying twice.? You only paying £34 for both the live channels and the HBO max tnt sport content. If you cancel your  TNT subcription though Sky as I said you will lose all that and if you want to watch TNT sport in HBO max app you will have to subscribe to HBO  direct and pay £32 a month just to get the TNT content though HBO max app.  I should add that you Sky  TNTsubscription also allows you to watch TNT sport though there HBO max app on any other devices you have as well without futher cost.

It's correct. You're only paying once for TNT Sports.
