Sound muted for some adverts

Advocate adverts have no sound whatsoever. I change channel and the volume comes back. No rhyme or reason ?

Yes for example there is an advert for a car dealership (Trade Centre UK) that is delibrately silent. I think it makes people look at the TV to see why it's gone silent, instead of looking at their phones during the ads!

@Steven26 Why do you think thats an issue with Sky Broadband(the section you've posted in)?

Re: Sound muted for some adverts

Its a sky tv issue not broadband issue. Is there a way to delete and try again ?

What is the product they are selling?

Is it anything to do with hearing loss?

Is it just ads from one company with no sound?

If you leave it on the station, Are the next ads OK?

Re: Sound muted for some adverts

I have a sky q box which shows adverts on various channels where the muting is random.

Is it possible that advertising companies mute their adverts randomly for effect ?

Re: Sound muted for some adverts

The same is happening for me. If you leave it the sound comes back on the next advert

Re: Sound muted for some adverts

Thanks. For me it sometimes happens for more than 1 advert. I change channel and that sorts the mute out straight away.

Re: Sound muted for some adverts

While some adverts like the Trade Centre car adverts are deliberately silent (https://makeitsticky.co.uk/folio/trade-centre-wales-sssshhhh/ ) if you're finding other adverts are affected and the sound returns after changing channel that sounds more like a technical fault of some kind.
