The workaround is to select the HD equivalent then hit the Red button or Enter to select UHD. Worked for the cricket this week, however, up for the rugby this morning and this workaround doesn't work so now have an insufferable 80 mins of sound dropping constantly or don't use the service I pay for and watch in HD, that can't be right. Very angry now. Sort it Sky.

@Paul335 yeah I watched the rugby last weekend and had the same issue on Main event UHD, I'm up to watch it again and guess what it's doing it again, I thought it was my TV at first but obviously not, I've got HDR turned off on UHD also as it's absolutely pants on the sky box

This is ridiculous it is making it barely watchable on main event... I will send an email to them I think to sort it as this isn't fair for paying customers

Same again today for the rugby on UHD. Honestly, how hasnt this been fixed yet.

Just adding my voice to this thread
This issue needs prioritising as it ruins any live uhd sport on main event
Hopefully if others find this thread and post we can get the right level of attention to sort

I'm watching the rugby on sky sports main event uhd and the sound keeps going on and off . What can you do to fix this ?

Anyone know the best to report this to Sky and talk to someone? The online help takes me to a page suggesting I order a new box.

Really frustrating, as a previous poster said you are sometimes able to select a hd equivalent and press the red button to get uhd but that is not always available.
I also took the advice from a post on here to rewind a few seconds which does seem to improve it but not entirely solve it.

Have also mailed sky. Is there anyone on here do we know who it does all work for? In other words are there some setups where all is fine or does this impact the entirety of the subscription base. I've asked about what they're going to do money wise too given that I'm paying for a UHD service and my choices are currently watch with the sound cutting in and out or watch in normal HD.

If it isn't the lip sync issues it's this sound dropping out. It's verging on unwatchable at times. I have emailed viewerr@sky.uk and wait to see what they have to say.

This is getting really annoying now, been trying to watch the Rugby, Cricket and Golf all week and the same issue on the UHD. I've reported it to Sky to viewerr@sky.uk and hopefully they will sort this soon!,

I'm watching the rugby now and still the same problems , sky do you even listen to what your customers are saying , this has been going on for a good 6 months now and you are just ignoring us all
