  • Same issues as everyone else.  Tried pausing and then playing again which helps for a bit. As other users have said, switching to the HD version is the only way to stop it, and the UHD red button option is not always available. I have emailed Sky and am awaiting a response. They really don't seem to give a toss about their customers.

Short term fix is,  as suggested, pause live action for 10 or so seconds. Doesn't totally eradicate issue but does improve the frequency it happens.

Agree, not ideal solution and hope Sky can rectify this frustrating issue.

Same here, ongoing issue, would be astonished if anything gets done about it as it's been an problem for at least a year. Really poor

Sky say they will phone me between 3 and 4 this afternoon (not really convenient) after "speaking to me" (they didn't).  Not going to be fobbed off with an engineer's visit and/or a new box.

I got a copy and paste reply back which basically said we're very sorry, we've passed your complaint along to the relevant team and they will take this very seriously etc etc. No mention of any fix. My contract is up back end of this year and if this is still going on I'm gone - pay far too much to put up with this.

Sky Sports UHD Sound Issues ....Not fit for Purpose

How much longer do customers who subscibe to Sky Sports UHD have to endure dreadful sound problems as sound continually drops out on channel 401 UHD , it's shocking has been going on for years and is not fit for purpose 

 

It's perfectly ok on other sky sports channels not UHD

 

How on earth can Sky not fix this , shameful

They did the same to me. Even though they are fully aware I do not use or have a home phone connected

Only work around for me is to change HDMI output to normal. 

Not ideal but it's better than those drop outs

Mine does this on the uhd channel. I thought it was the skybsoundbox but looks like it's the channel.

Same problem, watching the rugby on 401 and the sound stutters for a brief moment. The live pause then watch trick is working as I write. No drop outs while watching a few seconds behind live tv.

The merge seems to be a good call. However, judging by the early dates of some posts on the issues, it has been a problem for sometime. 

Why have Sky failed in basic customer service? Not hint of acknowledgement, or of any remedy or rectification.

I for one will be reviewing a change of service provider should this continue during the football season
