SkyQ mini box and BT disc

Is it possible to connect a mini box via a BT disc using the Ethernet ports. 
I have the main SkyQ box working this way. It's just that the mini box in bedroom is unreliable.

Have you disabled WiFi on the Q boxes?

I have not disabled Wi-Fi as yet. Just considering the purchase of another BT Disc. Just asking will it work via the disc?

I have my Q connected the same way but went with powerlines for the minis because discs were not in convenient locations for the minis. Wifi disabled on all of them.

Yes, should work - it's how mine are configured.  (They don't like connecting via WiFi to a disc but fine via Ethernet but the back haul is WiFi)

I will go ahead and purchase my Disc and disable Wi-Fi on the mini. Hopefully a happy wife😂

I have an Ethernet cable between my main sky q box & a bt disc but when trying to connect the sky box is showing no ip address obtained?

Turn off wifi and do a network reset on the Q
