Blue Screen

I've been getting a random blue screen every day since Thursday 30th July.  It randomly goes Blue and it's on every channel if you turn over.

The box is up to date with its software it's just annoying that in the middle of a show I'll have to turn my box off and restart.   I've tried to report it on the virtual assistant and even that's not working.

so not happy.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

We are still continuing to have thisissue when adverts come on. Wearepaying for TV in our package I wonder if Sky will offerany compensation to Sky q box users. In the meantime is there any update on fixing the issue

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Read that you can go onto your account on sky website and turn off something to do with ads as that is what is causing issue I got my son to do it 😂😂

@PastSellByDate The post currently marked as the answer still does not contain this critical and actually useful information (it's in the post above it!):

How to turn off AdSmart (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tailored-advertising-with-sky-adsmart)

* Go to https://www.sky.com/mydetails/data-and-personalisation
* Scroll down to "Tailored TV Advertising"
* Turn it OFF
* Allow some hours/days for it to take affect
* This is a work-around, not a "fix"

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

This blue screen/freezing issue continues.

I'm not sure if anyone else has spotted a 'theme', but in the North East we get an LNER train service ad' and unless I flick the channel up or down,, the blue screen/freezing issue happens.

Perhaps there's a technical glitch once the ad' has run!

Just a thought.

It's becoming a real nuisance now. Just like the LNER advert! Hate it.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

I hate that advert try to change channel away from it had no issues since my son switched off the add thing though

Hi

I noted a post with a link to Ad personalisation and like you, I've now turned it off.

Going to reboot again and see how things go.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Been told it's called tailored tv advertising had no issues since and that ad has been on its usual 50 times a day
