Sky remote not working

My sky remote has suddenly stopped working. I have put in brand new batteries but still not working. Can't even turn the box on with it. Why should I do?

Actually, it seems to be the box. It won't turn on at all. It's currently on stand by

I had started to get something similar also, every few months or so the box will fail to turn on; using the remote or the button on the box itself - it simply remains unresponsive.

The remote is fine as it turns the TV on & off etc. just no response at all from the Q box.

In order for me to get it to work, I've had to remove the power to the Q box for 30 seconds or so then plug it back in/restore the power. After that, no issues (for a few months)

Oh sweet god. I hate sky. I can't even cancel the bloody thing because I CANT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!

@Ihatesky1 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

That's great thanks. I still can't get through to sky. I'd like to upgrade the sky box I have etc. is there anyway to do this online? Thanks.

Hi guys,

remote still not working after switching box off and trying the 7/9 and 1/3 to get it to be the sole remote..?

any ideas what might be going wrong..?
