Mine is back on, not watched it long enough yet to see if it really sorted.

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

Paying for a service that is denied is not a minor issue. I couldn't watch tv or access my recordings.
saying why don't I ring sky is a joke as the foreign call centre staff sky use are difficult to understand and all they ever do is to ask you to switch off/on the sky box. I wasted 30 minutes last evening trying that "fix"

I couldn't log into the sky website and still can't this morning, so looking there wasn't an option

You say you are not a sky employee but you seem very quick to spout sky's views

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

I am a fool but to be fair TV was a little bit old.

Similar problem - black screen . Tried everything . Hence*

*Bought new .

Set up , used existing HMDI - until few hours later last night - check signal - external input / nothing !

Cant work out how it emerged from its zzzzz this morning after using the Sky Remote.

Should i buy new cable ?

Should i do the on off thing?

We are users not providers or tech's - paying £100 a month is mad for a Flaky service.

Sky Q box seems to be working okay for the last two hours.

However, on my laptop, I had to re install Sky Go app and My Sky app and now all okay.

Both apps working on my mobile phone.

I would add.

Since last night I have also had issues with this forum.

I have tried to edit a post I have made and not allowing me to do so.

I am going to have a lie down.

@middlesex1993  after a period of time (a couple of hours I think) you can't edit messages so if it was a post from last night that would be why

Have you tried the recommended fix that Sky have mentioned for this problem;

Switch off your Sky Q box at the power socket for 30 seconds and back on again

Make sure you do the above on  your main box first and once up then do the same for your mini box or boxes.

Why you should get Sky Go

When there is a problem with the satellite signal or your sky box, you can still watch Sky on the Internet with Sky Go. Just download it to a suitable device like a laptop.
