Sky box stopped working but green light stays on

Evening.. our Sky box is being a bit weird. It'll kind of just switch of, as in, no signal, but the green light stays on. Have tried letting it cool down/switched mains off for a few minutes. Works for 20 minutes or so after that then does the same.

Can't do anything with the remote when this happens.. any ideas what it could be please?

Yes ours has done that twice tonight. Q box reset seems to restore it but not sure how long it will last.

My box has gone off 3 times. the green light is on but no signal is being seen by my tv. i reset and wait for it to power on again and it works for 10 mins and same again. This has happened 3 times tonight before i gave up. no response from sky calling is impossible and the vitual assistant is an idiot.

I'm also getting this in my two mini boxes since 21.30 this evening. Rebooted all boxes. Was ok for half an hour and then minus went off again with MR104 Activation Server error. 😠.

Quick forum search shows a wider issue in March where similar was happening and needed Sky to sort out...

Since around 9:30pm my sky unit has switched itself off 4 times!!!

It's a relief that I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought my Q box was on the blink. Believe in better eh! Well I'd hate to see what it's like if it's garbage!

Yet another case to add to the list. Tried phoning sky and got the...system problems, call back later...message.

Very annoying keep powering off every 20 minutes!

IN PLAIN ENGLISH WE HAVE A SKYQ SYSTEM THAT EARLIER IN THE EVENING WAS .BUT SUDDENLY IT STOPPED WITH THE ADVERT PAGE FROZEN,NO RUNNING PICTURE OR SOUND.AND AFTER ALL THE RELEVANT CHECKS,UNPLUGGING, THEN PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK  STILL NOTHING. SO AS MY WIFE AND I ARE DISABLED AND SEMI-DISABLED AND CLASSIFIED AS VULNERABLE CITIZENS THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A TOTAL NIGHTMARE, WE WILL BE THEREFORE CANCELLING OUR SUBSCRIPTION UNTIL THE FAULTS ARE RECTIFIED? WE REQUIRE A REPAIR AS BY THE END OF FRIDAY 16TH MAY 2025.FAILURE TO RECTIFY THIS SYSTEM WILL MEAN YOU CAN COLLECT THE SYSTEM AND REMOVE ,AS AFTER ALL WE ARE PAYING FOR A SYSTEM,AS IT'S NOT WORKING  SUBSCRIPTIONS WILL BE STOPPED.

Ours has gone off too Anglesey, can't even control the TV. Given up going to bed.

I was  watching a program and all of a sudden the screen goes blank & I can't turn of the box via the remote control . It was fine this morning & this afternoon , but when  returned home from work at 21.20 ,  the screen has gone blank more  than once  since then .

Mine is doing the same. If I switch off at the wall and reboot it works for around 5 to 10 mins then disconnects again.
