The sky Q box and the sky Q mini box aren't working at all. I have the right HDMI.
my tv is saying "no signal" and the box has a green light and the blue Q is flashing and the remote works fine.

Have you tried the recommended fix that Sky have mentioned for this problem;

Switch off your Sky Q box at the power socket for 30 seconds and back on again

Make sure you do the above on  your main box first and once up then do the same for your mini box or boxes.

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

I agree.  My sky q software version was up to date but i forced a refresh anyway - prese standby button on box as switch mains power back on.  It took 10-15 mins to complete.  By that time i had had enough - thanks SKY for ruining my evening- so did not test until this morning.  Seems ok now 🤞

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

I unplugged my box overnight ( if you're reading this- try unplugging it for 1 hour )- it booted up in full reset mode (without losing recordings).

How can you tell it did a full reset? - It changes TV Resolution - when it 1ts booted, it was 720p, after one minute of loading it then switched to my TV resolution of 4k.

Since doing this from 7AM this morning, shutting it down after 30 minutes usage then coming back 2 hours later to fire it back up and all running fine.

My TV remote has worked perfectly (has issues last night), Recordings are playing perfectly, slight stutter going into the lower part of the recordings library but works, No crashes/Lock ups during recording playback (mutilple times last night), no lockups during live TV, Software version is Q300.000.06.00L (5yzv4ns).

If you are still having problems, my suggestion would be to leave it plugged out for at least 1 Hour, to give it time to do a full Reset- switching off and on again doesn't seem to be reseting settings enough for it to actually update itself or clear the issues.

Hope this helps anyone

I've just manually did a Software Update

Box has now completed the update, I've placed it into Standby mode and it's currently finishing up

From what I can see, it's sorted the issue

Now on version: Q300.000.06.00L (5yzv4ns)

Interesting. Mine's on Q310.000.13.00L (60neph0) and has been fine all morning.

What compensation/refund is being offered by sky for all the inconvenience?

All

As previously suggested Sky are recommending a reboot of the boxes. If you're still having an issue with a mini box make sure you reboot the main box first.

So try a reboot of the main Sky Q box, then once that’s back up and running do the same with any mini boxes if applicable -
~ Using the remote put your main Sky Q box into standby
~ switch the box off at the plug
~ wait at least 30 seconds and then switch the box back on at the plug
~ follow the on screen instructions
~ when the screen goes blank and the blue Q stops pulsating wait another 30 seconds
~ press the 🏠 button

Allow 5-10 minutes before things hopefully revert back to normal.

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

Our Sky Q box (NE Hampshire) shut down twice last night 15.05 when watching a recorded programme, first time did a power cycle but gave up when did not fix the second time. Watched terrestrial instead so no issue with the TV.

As hitbox 47 did, I also left the box switched off overnight and powered up again this morning 16.05. All seems normal for the moment, have set box to standby and restarted again several times with normal behaviour so far.

A little early to be asking that.  It will take days (possibly many days) for any public announcement.
