Sky q box keeps going offline

Sky keeps going offline if I'm trying to watch something streaming. I've had a long communication with talk talk who provide my eero router, they've checked everything they possibly can and because all my other devices on the router stay connected and work they have did the problem has got to be with the sky bos. I've tried the usual turn off turn on to no avail

Q won't connect reliably to a third party mesh.

 

Use Ethernet.

This sounds similar to the issue that I have been having, I think its something to do with the type of WiFi but not entirely sure, I read somewhere that the Sky Q box runs on WiFi 5 but some of the newer routers run on WiFi 6 which is what causes the issue but not sure how to rectify it 😭

Even the latest WiFi routers should have 802.11b/g/n modes for legacy devices.  (They may need to be enabled/configured though)
