Sky Q apps not streaming after switch to full fibre
Hi all - hoping somone can help.
About a month or so ago I switched over from Sky's normal broadband to the Full Fibre (gigafast), all was working fine, but about a week ago my sky Q box ( model 32B063) started to download stuff really slowly and apps like Netflix and Disney+ are just unusable.
I have my main sky Q box hard wired directly to the Sky broadband router.
The Sky Router wifi settings, and all my Sky Q boxes wifi are switched off as I'm running a TP link Deco mesh for my wifi.
Sky mini boxes are all hard wired to a TP link Deco unit and live TV works fine across the network. I'd understand it could be a problem with the Mesh, but as my main box is hard-wired it shouldn't be affecting this connection.
Could any one help me to understand why my main Sky Q box seems to have such a slow connection to the network.
Thanks

Re: Sky Q apps not streaming after switch to full fibre
Try turning the mini's off and retesting.
Although I could get them working on my mesh by Ethernet connecting them to a nearby node it caused me performance issues across the network. My issues were resolved by disconnecting them...

Thanks for the answer. If you disconnected the mini's from the mesh network - how did you use them?

I use Sky's own mesh. (It has the occasional wobble but I'm not suffering the performance issues)

Re: Sky Q apps not streaming after switch to full fibre
Thanks
so you have the sky q and mini boxes on one mesh system, then your other Wi-Fi devices using a system like TP link, or you just ditched the 3rd party mesh system?
my problem is that sky mesh doesn't seem to have sufficient range - even with boosters

Re: Sky Q apps not streaming after switch to full fibre
I have a similar setup but use powerlines between the minis and Q.
I actually use ethernet from the Q into a mesh node.
not had any performance or disconnection issues (other than the odd need to "reactivate" a mini once in a while) since setting it up like this.

Re: Sky Q apps not streaming after switch to full fibre
Thanks. I've moved the Ethernet connection from my sky router to the main mesh node - so let's see if that improves matters
