Sky box

I am a former user of sky and still have the box, I am purchasing online but want to let them know I don't need a new box, also do you know if my nextlix will be activated immediately?

@Orla121

Two observations there…

If you previously had Sky Q the box should have been returned at the end of the subscription.

Our understanding is that you can now only order Sky by calling in and not online.

I cohabit and the box was due to be sent back but I'm now taking over the bill so I can just use the box that's here, Savage sky sending a new 1?

@Orla121  It doesn't work like that you can't take over a previous account

that account holder needs to cancel and return any equipment before you can order in your own name with new equipment issued

@Orla121

I would not expect Sky to allow that. The account holder (your co-habitant) is responsible for returning loaned equipment and will be charged for any equipment Sky are expecting back.

@Orla121
You didn't say when your friend cancelled. They need to realise that billing continues through the notice period after which a credit for any overpayment will show on their bills and should be refunded in about 6 weeks from their last day of connection.

Return packaging will be sent out near the end of their notice period for any loaned equipment Sky are expecting back. It’s important that they obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

hi @Orla121

Unfortunately not - you need to activate on the SKY Q box (the one that will be set up for you) before you can use it on any other device
