LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
I have an LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box - it simply says no signal, having been working fine in the past. I have tried rebooting the Sky box etc (which also works fine on another TV in the house). The loss of Sky coincided with the loss of BBC channels on Live TV - these are now working, but with very poor picture quality. Any ideas?

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
@dm2386 Try the following: Power up Sky Q box, wait a couple of minutes, then on the Sky remote press the following buttons Home1080Home, this will reset the output on the Sky Q box to 1080 and the TV should pick it up again.
43" Glass TV & Puck Whole Home

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
Ensure the tv is on the correct connection - usually HDMI1 but could be HDMI2. If you have pets then they can step on the remote & change settings.
I don’t work for Sky.
If I have helped then please leave a like.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
Thank you for your suggestion - I have tried this, but unfortunately it makes no difference.
As I said in the original post, the Sky Q box works on another TV (Samsung) in another room.
The problematic connection is on the LG TV, but this is wall mounted and connected by an HDMI cable which does not come into contact with anybody / thing which might have dislodged it!

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
You haven't inadvertently changed the TV setting to default to Freeview.
I'm not familiar with LG tvs but it might be worth checking the TV menu settings. but there may be a tab to select Sky TV on a menu tab as per a Samsung TV.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
I was referring to changing the input via the TV remote, it's possible to accidentally click on the input key then change it which would affect what's shown onscreen.
I don’t work for Sky.

Check too that the HDMI cable is still connected to the back of the Sky box, also try a different cable.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
Hi I had this issue and I think I have found the issue.
On lg TV with the sky box turned on (green light) turn off the HDMI-CEC setting and see if that works as it has for me so far.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
I have been experiencing the same problem for over a year.
LG tv, same as you.
Restarted Sky at least once a week. Check Hdmi connections.
The problem is with LG. Never had this problem for 4 years with Sony.
LG just doesnt connect with Sky. Nobody has a working solution.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
I have sorted this out and so far no more issues
On your sky box
Settings
Audio/Visual
Turn off HDMI Control.
Also in sky box
Settings
Preferences
Turn off Smart standby mode.
Restart TV and sky box and this should work.
Let me know how this works

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
This is a problem with the TV's ARC / E-ARC function. (If you have a soundbar connected, that too will stop functioning correctly.) If you're lucky you probably just need to update your software. This worked for me... For about 4 days. Then I had no further updates. So what next? It's clearly a software issue with the TV. Not new cables, and I'm sure you have everything plugged in and set to correct channels. I tried resetting the TV software back to factory settings, which didn't work. People keep saying unplug all the electrics, I have tried that and it still doesn't work. The thing is, this has also happened to my older Samsung TV, so it's clearly a problem with ARC/E-ARC, rather than inherent on just my TV. I wish there was a clear, guaranteed fix. It's so frustrating.

Re: LG TV which has stopped recognising the Sky Q box
I used mE182 and switched off HDMI control via Settings - Start up and Stand - HDMI Control off.
However, there is a much simpler solution to the No Signal message after you have closed Sky.
Hold the Sky Remote powerbutton for about 3 seconds!

You shouldn't have the Q attached to an eARC input though?
