I have given you a call today and after 2 hours of switching from one caller to the next I was left for over 30 minutes on hold !

@Johnflanagan  You haven't called anybody on here as we're fellow customers helping each other (this is a customer helps customer forum only not sky support)

all you can do is to keep calling until you get the resolution you want

Re: Sky Q to Sky glass

You're lucky @Johnflanagan Sky Glass is a load of rubbish. You'd be better off buying a cheap TV from a Supermarket, a firestick and, if you need Sky packages, NowTV thought their app.

It depends who you ask, but you need to remember that Sky Glass is approaching its third birthday and has not seen any hardware improvements in that time, yet its price has actually increased since launch.

It's worthwhile Googling some reviews but be aware that many of them are sponsored and are perhaps not entirely honest. One of the most recent non-sponsored independent ones was done by Which? magazine which gave it a score of 52%, calling the 55" model "restrictive and flawed". They summed up by saying: "It’s limiting and the picture quality isn’t up to scratch either. We don’t think it’s worth buying."

But on the other hand there are thousands of happy Glass owners round the country. It really depends on your expectations of what you want from a TV, if you like the look of it, and if you really need the ability to pay for it interest free over several months/years.

You can get the exact same Sky streaming TV experience with a Sky Stream puck on any other brand of TV, many of which can offer better quality and much more flexibility for less money.

Re: Sky Q to Sky glass

@Johnflanagan  The Sky glass TV itself is nothing special, its a lower mid range TV which is very average.  Its key selling point is the sky box and sound system are all built in so in theory its a one box solution.  Unless you really are sold on this idea get Sky Stream if you want to go down the streaming route.  There is also a question about Glass future, there have been no hardware updates or news of new/improved models since launch about 3 years ago.  In the TV/Display industry 3 years is a long time.

Re: Sky Q to Sky glass

Also @Johnflanagan remember on Sky Glass or Stream you don't get all the channels that Q has. You get the Sky only ones, fta such as BBC, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5. However channels like Talking Pictures TV etc aren't on it as they don't offer a streaming alternative. There should be a list online somewhere of what you can get. You will be able to get these yourself if your TV has freeview or freesat built in. For freeview you need an aerial, for freesat to work the lnb on your satellite dish may need changing. These channels may not be an issue for you though.
