@Hina5 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Can you describe a bit more what is happening?

Is the box powering on, or are you getting error messages on screen, if so what do they say?

I have sky glass but use Sky Q with it. I had to do an update when the TV wouldn't turn on, since then the remote doesn't work properly. I did the 1 & 3 and 7 & 9 reset which paired the remote so the volume now works but the quick search bar at the bottom of the screen is appearing twice, I can be on the Home Screen moving up & down but it is also controlling the search bar (shows you the next programme & channel) moving that up & down so doing 2 actions at the same time.

New batteries were placed in the remote control for the hub. I don't think this improved matters. What did work, though, was to unplug the hub for 30 mins. and then tried again. All working fine! There was no need for remote reprogramming. Good luck 🙂

If you've tried all the advice provided in this thread follow this link and it’ll eventually send you to a form to request a replacement (I’m not sure if this applies to customers in the Republic of Ireland).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket.

While your waiting, if you have an android or Apple device with Sky Go you can possibly set up a virtual remote to control your Sky Q box. See this link which may help
