Sky max

Put in the new WiFi max and for the last 5 hours have been struggling to set up the lounge mini box. Absolutely useless. I "upgraded"  because we were having issues and now we have a massive issue - IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.

Unfortunately the SKY Wifi Max routers are treated as 3rd party routers by SKY Q so your mini will not connect to your home wifi but instead a wifi signal generated by the main box. 

This does mean that if the mini box is a distance from the main box or there are thick walls etc this could be a problem.

You might need a specific SKY Q booster to place in between the 2 boxes

Unlike the old Sky Q type boadband  hub the the new ones connect to your Sky Q box like a third party broadband hubs do. Therefore it only main Sky Q box that connects to internet via  your WiFi max broadband hub. The mini box connects directly to Main skQ box and receives both tv and internet from main Sky Q box. Therefore if your main Sky Q box is connected to in the internet via  your WiFi max hub it working perfectly.

The problem is that for some reason you mini box is not connecting to the main box. If have tried connecting mini box to main box by following the instructions on on screen on the lounge tv whichbIvunderstand is the tv connected to min box and the mini not receiving  signals from the main box may  it be because your mini box is to far away from the main box and you need sky Q booster  to connect between the two. If that is the case you need to contact Sky for the to supply you with one.
