Sky Q hub settings will not activate

"Settings" although the box is highlighted it will not activate., I've tried two different controls and two different friends!  None of us can get it to work!

So it's not a Sky Q hub, it's a Sky Q mini box.

 

Sky have suggested the following...

  • Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&6
  • Wait for the remote to flash
  • Then dismiss the information screen "Skip & set up later"
  • Hold 1&3 to repair the remote control

If 4&6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control the TV.

Yes, until it gets to the option of "settings" and won't respond to "set up later" either

Hi @Frickies   Sorry, exactly what "settings" are you talking about. You mention Sky Q Hub (which is a broadband router) but you have posted in the Sky Q TV community. I assumed you meant Settings on the Sky Q box menu.

Oh dear, it's my brother's Sky Q but he's even more clueless than me.  We have two televisions.  On 15th May there was an outage on Sky.  Through a friend's help we've managed to get his television up and working but the television downstairs (a hub box?) won't.  There is a screen (having pressed the appropriate connection button upstairs) which says "Accessibility on Sky Q" and at the bottom are 2 boxes, neither of which responds.

Our router is not Sky but were definitely connected as I just received a newer version today
