Re: Sky Q download

It's a shame Sky can't ( won't ?) Put out some form of 'we know there's a problem with downloads ' message either by e mail or a news item on the Sky homepage .

Where did you change it? If on the Sky box did you power cycle it?

@DavidThomson1

I have moved your post into the thread discussing this. There is a similar thread on the Sky+ board. The common link is having TalkTalk or Utility Warehouse broadband. Sky are aware.

Maybe you are one of those who it seems benefit from turning off that "advanced security" setting on the eero router.  Seems to be blocking some Sky content by mistake.

if you do and it works, I would probably turn it back on once this is all resolved, it probably protects from things like known phishing sites

Re: Sky Q download

After changing my eero dns address last night (sky qbox then also showed this number) I've now discovered that the Sky box's dns today says 192.168.4.1 & guess what, nondownloads.
went into the eero router & turned off "advanced security" & "ad blocking" & download instantly resumed.

Re: Sky Q downloads disabled?

Same problem here for the last couple of days and my broadband provider is Talktalk. Just changed the DNS setting to 1 0 0 1 as recommended on here and it's all started working again now! Thank you! 👍

Re: Sky Q download

the dns showing in advanced settings on my sky q box has now reverted to 1.0.0.1 since turning off advanced security & ad blocking.

Re: Sky Q download

No problem...I see a few on this thread have said they have changed the DNS settings (whatever they are ?)and they can now download but Sky have told me to do nothing as the issue will be resolved by the weekend...

Re: Sky Q download

many thanks. Been without downloads for five days,.   sky said it would've been fixed by last night, but it wasn't.   changed to 1 1 1 1 and works perfectly.   our Broadband is with Talk Talk Business.  didn't change any router settings.   spent ages on the phone to Talk Talk and sky this week.  why couldn't they just advise to change the DNS?   thank you for your post
