Some of us are a bit worried about messing about with router settings and would much prefer to wait it out, it's only the download that isn't working everything else is fine.

I just changed mine to 1 1 1 1 and it's working ok, have noted the previous settings 👍

I just changed the DNS manually to 1 1 1 1 and it seems to be resolved

  • Should I do what others have done and change the dns setting on Sky Q box to 1.0.0.1? How do I do that, please? Does anyone know if Sky and/or Talk Talk are working on a fix-in which case perhaps I should wait?

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you. I've read the various messages but nowhere could I see what I need to do on my Sky Q box to change the dns setting. Forgive me if I've missed it.

You're responding to someone who doesn't even know what dns is....so please be patient with me.

@RobertH2   I think it's the router setting you have to change not the sky box, but I might be wrong , it's all witchcraft to me.

Thank you "oldtvgirly". Being so far out of my comfort and knowledge zone, it's probably best I don't interfere...and hope Sky will eventually cast a spell!

Downloading

Go to download film, keeps saying queued but nothing downloading or recording,  any ideas please?

I am having the same issue won't let me download anything! 
I have reset my router and my sky Q box and the internet connection on the sky Q box, not helped in any way !!!

I noticed the problem not being able to download or watch on demand on Tuesday morning..I rang Sky's technical team who took me through all the possible fixes but to no avail.A Sky engineer came out Wednesday morning an spent an hour trying to fix the problem..I am with TalkTalk and he went into my rooter and found no issues..Just as he was leaving he received a memo from head office telling him that they were having issues with downloading!..You couldn't write it!..lol..I again rang Sky's technical team Wednesday evening and was told they were aware of the problem and it was down to them and they were doing everything they could to solve the problem.I was told to keep checking to see if the problem had been rectified and depending on how long it takes to be resolved I would be compensated accordingly with some credit being added to my account..Let's see how long it takes them to sort this out?..
